Delete your TondiMatch account

Version 2026-09-27

You can delete your TondiMatch account and its data at any time. You do not need to ask us, and you do not need to give a reason.

In the app — the fastest route

Open Profile → Your data and account → Delete account, and confirm.

You can also export your data or pause the account from the same screen. Pausing takes you out of discovery without deleting anything.

If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@tondimatch.com from the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account". If you have lost access to that address, write to us anyway and say so — we will ask for what we reasonably need to confirm the account is yours, and we will not delete an account on the word of someone who cannot show it is theirs.

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.

What happens next

The account stops appearing in discovery straight away.
A 7-day cooling-off period begins. Signing in during those 7 days cancels the deletion — this is what protects you from an angry tap or someone else reaching your unlocked phone.
After 7 days we erase or de-identify your information: your profile, your photos, your verification selfie if one is still held, your messages, your Home Story answers, your likes and passes, your ranking history and the account record itself.

What we keep, and why

A small amount survives deletion because erasing it would defeat the reason it exists:

Safety reports made about you, and the evidence attached to them	So a banned member cannot erase the record by deleting the account and returning
A record of what you were charged	Tax, accounting and payment-dispute obligations
Anything under a legal hold	Where the law requires us to preserve it

Backups roll off on their own schedule; information already deleted from the live service is not restored from them.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Apple and Google hold the payment method, so cancel in your App Store or Google Play account before it renews. See Support for more.
