Child Safety Standards
Version 2026-09-27
TondiMatch is an adults-only service. This page is our published standard against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how we enforce it, and how to reach us about it. It forms part of the Community Rules.
1. Adults only, by design
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. We collect a date of birth at sign-up, derive your age from it, and refuse the account if it is under 18. There is no teen mode, no child account, and no part of the service intended for a minor. If we learn that a minor holds an account, we remove it.
2. What is prohibited
Zero tolerance, with no context that makes any of it acceptable:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawn, edited or generated imagery;
- sexualizing a minor in a photo, a profile, a prompt answer or a message;
- grooming, soliciting, or seeking sexual content from a minor;
- trafficking, or advertising, requesting or linking to any of the above;
- an adult using the service to reach a minor for any sexual purpose.
3. How to report it
In the app: every profile and every conversation has a report option. You do not have to match with someone to report them, and reporting is always free.
If you cannot sign in: email support@tondimatch.com.
Point of contact for child safety, including from authorities and NGOs: support@tondimatch.com. Write "CHILD SAFETY" in the subject line.
Please do not attach suspected CSAM to an email. Report the account and tell us where to look; we can retrieve what is on the service ourselves.
4. What we do about it
Reports naming a minor are our highest priority and are read by a person, not a machine. When we find apparent CSAE:
- the account is suspended immediately, which also stops it from destroying what it uploaded, and then permanently removed;
- the material is preserved, not quietly erased, so it can be given to the authorities;
- we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline, and to law enforcement where the law requires it. Our service is operated from the United States and is subject to 18 U.S.C. §2258A;
- we do not tell the reported member what we found or that a report was made, because tipping off can defeat an investigation;
- an account removed for this reason may appeal that we identified the wrong person. The content itself is never up for debate.
5. The checks that sit behind this
- Human review of reports and sanctions. Moderators can remove content, suspend and ban accounts. Every decision is written to an append-only log.
- Automated screening. Free text that solicits illegal content is refused and never stored. Where a photo classifier is configured, a photograph it is sure violates these standards is refused and never stored.
- Human selfie verification. The "Verified" badge means a person compared a live selfie against the profile photos. That comparison is the approval a person makes. It is not a background check, and the profile is visible without the badge.
Profiles and photos publish when they are saved. Reports, blocking and sanctions are how they come down.
6. Compliance
We comply with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where we operate, and we keep this standard, our internal response procedure and our moderator training aligned with them. Where a legal obligation and this page ever conflict, the law governs.
